Comcast cable customers in all of Roane County and parts of Morgan County could view Channel 15. With the online service, viewers anywhere in the area, and around the world, can tune in.

Bill Landry stopped in at the East Tennessee PBS, home of Channel 2 & 202 (Comcast) and 15 (Direct TV), studios in Knoxville last week to visit old friend Marshal Andy (Smalls). Marshal Andy was taping his next “Marshal Andy and The Riders of the Silver Screen” show, which will feature some of the Ciderville boys and Rhonda Whiting of the "Sisters of the Silver Sage".
It's acts and people like this that will fill the Princess stage in the near future.

The Creative Arts Co-op is continuing a tradition.
Twenty high school students from throughout Roane County are preparing to take the stage in the Fifth Annual High School level musical.
Open auditions brought students from several schools - private and public, as well as home schoolers. Practicing since January, students have been working on the rock-n-roll classic - 'GREASE!'
With strong choreography and musical aspects, the shows takes a high energy gallop through high school in the '50's. Appropriate adaptions were used for high school students, but the story is true -complete with all the fun and energy of the iconic movie.
Show dates are March 18, 19, 25, 26, 2011
All shows begin at 8:00pm
Tickets are $7.00 adults and $5.00 for 12 & under

How about going to see a very entertaining stage play at Roane State!
The Roane State Playmakers will perform the comedic farce “Noises Off” in the O’Brien theatre on Roane State's Roane County campus in Harriman.
Remaining performances are scheduled Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. and Feb 27 at 2 p.m.
Written by Michael Frayn, “Noises Off” has been called one of the funniest farces ever written. The play presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearses a flop called “Nothing’s On.” Doors slamming, onstage and backstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure into the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.
General admission is $10, and student admission and admission for seniors is $7.
My wife and I saw the production Thursday evening and found it to be a comedy riot! People running all around the stage and sometimes the action even overflows into the audience. There's even a pretty young lady in her underwear! There was also some delicious desserts available at intermission too! What more could you ask for in an evening out!?
Dr. Myra Peavyhouse and other members of the Roane State Community College staff visited the Princess Complex this past Thursday. During that visit she expressed Roane State's interest in partnering with area high schools in arts education, utilizing the Princess Theatre and the Channel 15 studio.

Last evening, I was privileged to be on hand as Bill Radice, Channel 15's station manager, with the assistance of Jimbo Duncan, passed another milestone in the station's progress toward full studio presentations. Bill Landry and Mayor Chris Mason were on hand to interview Dr. Eric Littleton who grew up and went to school in Roane County. This interview was part of the first "real" test of the station's capabilities, and the interview will be broadcast on Channel 15 soon.
