When the lights dimmed on the Creative Arts Co-op's stage Saturday evening, it marked the end of another fantastic show. GREASE! closed Saturday night to a packed house, a charged cast, and an out-of-this-world performance.

Twenty high school students - representing two high schools, one private school, and home schoolers - joined forces in January 2011 with one goal, to produce a successful musical. For two months, cast members converged on a stage three nights a week to learn stunts (I do mean stunts), songs, lines, choreography, and characters. They worked through illness and injury for the common good. From carpooling to costuming, students worked together.

And for four shows - just two weekends - those same twenty students lit up the stage. And hopefully, will continue to light up the stage.

Congratulations to everyone involved in GREASE. It was a job well done!

and THAT'S the truth!

I saw the show, and recommended it to others. Several of 'em did some amazing stunts! And there was real talent on display, where it deserves to be.

I hope those who want to will go on and do all kinds of shows at RSCC, at The Princess, and elsewhere.

I came down with the mother

I came down with the mother of all colds and couldn't get there...I hope lots of other folks did. I think we'll have to work on a RoaneViews night at one of these shows.

Hope to see them again...

Several of the graduating seniors are continuing their education locally. I hope to see them continue with Creative Arts Co-op,and become part of the Murder Mystery cast and participate in the Christmas Productions.
