Last evening, I was privy to a rehearsal at South Harriman Baptist Church as Dr. Eric Littleton and Muse Watson prepared for their concert at the Princess Theatre on Friday. The concert will begin at 7PM.


The Princess Theatre Foundation
presents "A Celebration Of Christmas Music" featuring concert pianist Dr. Eric Littleton with special guest award winning actor Muse Watson.

The Creative Arts Co-op is excited to announce that this year's high school level musical will be 'Footloose!' All students 9th through 12th grades are encouraged to audition. Come prepared to sing. Cold reading from the script, and some dancing.

The shows will be in March,
Rehearsals begin in January,
Auditions are November 19 at 7:30pm at the Creative Arts Co-op.

The Arts Council of Roane County is hosting its inaugural Open Art Show November 30 - December 2, 2012 at the Creative Arts Co-op in Harriman. Open to all area artists,the show offers a showcase to local talent - as well as unique gifts for the holiday season. From paintings to pottery, sculptures to sketches, there will be something for every taste.

Bring the whole family to the East TN/Roane County Labor Day Picnic in Roane County Park on Sept. 3 from noon to 3 PM. Cost: $10 adults, children under 12 free. Tickets may be purchased at the picnic or in advance by calling 865-332-1289.

This should be a wonderful feast of food and community. Park Overall will be the guest speaker. Tommy Santelli will be there too, for music and fun.
