Today I received a fundraising call, purportedly from the "Fraternal Order of Police - Tennessee State Lodge - Armes-Shubert Memorial." While the caller was on the phone, I looked them up. Guidestar ((link...)) didn't have them listed, but the Tennessee Department of State ((link...)) did.

Last fiscal year this Rockwood group spent a whopping 69% of their income on fundraising and only 20% on their charity programs.

I just got a fundraising phone call purportedly from the "Officer Down Foundation." The man said he was collecting for officers in Tennessee in my local area.
