Today I received a fundraising call, purportedly from the "Fraternal Order of Police - Tennessee State Lodge - Armes-Shubert Memorial." While the caller was on the phone, I looked them up. Guidestar ((link...)) didn't have them listed, but the Tennessee Department of State ((link...)) did.

Last fiscal year this Rockwood group spent a whopping 69% of their income on fundraising and only 20% on their charity programs.

I just got a fundraising phone call purportedly from the "Officer Down Foundation." The man said he was collecting for officers in Tennessee in my local area.

"Hear ye, Hear ye... Come step back in time."

"Fort Southwest Point in Kingston, Tennessee will be hosting a Christmas Candlelight Tour and Reception on December 8 beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting until 9:00 p.m.
