West Roane County Volunteer Fire Department is holding its "Fireworks Sale," this year in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Highway 27 in Roane County. The sale will be open all day and all evening.

There are for-profit fireworks tents around, but this one is the only one that benefits our own West Roane VFD. If you are buying fireworks this year, make sure to get them from the hardworking volunteers in your fire department!

Setup will be Thursday, June 25, so on that day only the sale will start later in the day.

Volunteers are needed to help with setup, the sale, security at night, and with finishing up on July 5. This is a great way to socialize and get to meet your neighbors while giving service too! For more information, call 354-5140 or 354-1500.

Remember to always use caution around fireworks. West Roane County VFD provides fireworks safety tips and downloadable brochures on its WestRoane.com web site.
