The CREATIVE ARTS CO-OP is closed. May 15, 2014 was our last night.
To those of you who came to a show or took a class,
THANK YOU.
You made it all possible.
To the rest of you...
Those who hit 'Like' on a computer screen but never walked in our door,
To those who repeated hollow sayings such as ..'Oh, I wanted to come, but...',
To those of you who benefited from our facilities, skills, and/or equipment, but never supported us in return,
To those of you who stood on our stage as a performer, but never sat in the audience,
To those of you who told our young performers you would come to see them in a show - YOU TOLD A CHILD YOU WOULD COME- and you didn't show up,
You lied.
'Beauty and the Beast', 'The Wizard of Oz', 'Kilroy', '45 Minutes From Broadway', Grease!' 'Charleston!', 'Footloose', 'Chicago!' - the eight annual high school level musical productions performed by your young people (free to student participants).
'Catfish Moon', 'Crimes of the Heart', 'See Rock City', 'The Gift', 'Not on This Night', 'A Christmas Carol', 'The Gift of the Magi', ' 'It's a Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play' (x2), 'A Christmas Carol - a Radio Show' - the community theatre productions performed by your neighbors, co-workers, church members, and friends.
And not to mention the 32 separate, original murder mysteries, the comedy nights, the 12 years of summer art and stage camps for students pre-school to high school, the after school classes....
You chose to ignore it - all of it.
You chose anything and everything over us.
You chose nothing over us.
Congratulations - you got it.
