The West Roane County Volunteer Fire Department has issued a call for volunteers. Our neighbors in this all-volunteer IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit not only fight our fires but also provide our emergency medical services. Every year they respond to hundreds of calls.

Volunteers are needed in all areas: firefighters, First Responders, EMTs, and support staff.

For more information about volunteering, call 865-354-8201. Leave a message if you are sent to voice mail.

West Roane County VFD remains a real bargain for property owners here; costs would go up considerably were we to be forced to move to paid fire and emergency medical protection, whether tax-supported or private.

WRCVFD is a United Way of Roane County partner agency
