I went by the park yesterday
I went by the park yesterday and told Tony Brown that this was the nicest and best kept I've ever seen Roane County Park.
I agree. I was down there
I agree. I was down there last week and it was really looking good. Tony and his crew have done a great job!
Summerfest
We stopped by the park and wandered around Summerfest and chatted with lots of folks. The candidates were out in force but so were the families with young kids. The new splash pad at the swimming area is highly recommended, and did you know there is a waterfall at Roane County Park now? Really!
I AGREE - A NEW PARK RANGER WAS IN GREAT NEED!!!
RCP HAS Improved!! The worst thing I ever saw at RCP was a goose with a broken wing which was dragging on the ground I asked the park ranger at the time(the one who had the park right before who has it now)what could be done about the goose. The man told me that there was nothing that could be done and he couldn't do anything about the goose because random children would go and mess/hurt them - THIS IS CRAZY!!! I figured a local vet would be willing to help the goose. None that I contacted were willing to help. I called the Humane Society to see what could be done and I never recieved a phone call back. Everytime I went down there the poor goose was still with a broken wing and in no defense to anything or mean children as the park ranger explained. Thank God we have a New person in charge of the park!
