I'll have to go check that

I'll have to go check that out. Thanks,

And remember that you folks can post your own pictures.

I'm posting a few images

I'm posting a few images from around our county. They will eventually pop up in the "Around Roane" box and can be enlarged by clicking on it.

The shots are nothing special, since I can shoot a soccer game and not much else, but they do show folks what our place looks like.

Roane County Images

Regarding pictures of historically interesting and beautiful sights in Roane County, try a few shots of the Historic Bethel Cemetery in Kingston (from Hwy 70, Race Street, go right - up the hill on 3rd street.) It has some very interesting tombstones and it represents a good bit of Roane County's history. One fact of interest is that it has a soldier from every world war (up to more recent smaller wars) buried in it. It also has numerous tombstones of Steam Boat Captains. (Kingston's was a very active Steam Boat port.)

It's an interesting place to take History Lovers. It was renovated some 8 - 10 years ago, with tombstones patched and glued back together, markers and benches added, and a fixture to post information placed at the entrance. Lastly, I forgot to mention that the view from on top of this hill is very beautiful.
