Want to go swimming? Too cold you say?!? That is exactly what the guys at Adventure Scuba said when I told them about our plans to put them in the water on March 1st! They have suggested a May date be placed in my proposal to them.

As a part of the Great American Clean Up in the Spring, it has been suggested that Keep Roane Beautiful organize an underwater cove clean up. I am contacting Scuba schools, and underwater diving teams to see if we can round up divers. I need to know if there is anyone here in Roane County that might have a connection to a diving group.

Also, we will need land people to get the items to trailers and trucks. If the water is a passion for you, please give us a call or e-mail us. Keeping Roane Beautiful is really about getting you involved with an area you can be passionate about. Whether it is the water front, the green areas, recycling, anti-litter, landscaping, gardening, re-forestation, promoting community pride in the schools, teaching preservation, I have a place for you!
