I was listening to a friend speak about Ahmadhinijad's talk at Columbia University and thought about how most people simply miss the point of Free Speech in America. Not my friend, though.

His comment was that people should realize that the Iranian President is way smart and calculating, unlike the current American President, who has installed political hack in all of our critical national offices. Of course Ahmadhinijad has to state the political rhetoric of his nation, some of it simply rabid religious stupidity, but we have that too. What shouldn't be missed is that the Iranian President has effectively taken the air out of Bush's attack balloon and deflated all his reasons for any pre-emptive strike at Iran.
