Cat lovers are proposing that trapping wild and free roaming cats, spaying them and returning them to the wild takes less effort than trapping and euthanizing them. Emotion intrudes on logic on issues like this, and I personally don't see eye to eye with the trap, spay and release folks, but let's make our arguments reality based if we can. Feral cats are a huge environmental problem, just as free roaming domestic cats are also destructive predators, exotic to our North American environment. Recent studies are showing us just how destructive our beloved felines are when allowed to roam outside. With over seven times more cats and dogs being born than humans in the USA, it is easy to see that this is a problem in dire need of a solution.
