Looks like some low life(s) robbed anything of value from a local cemetery. First report has them parking at a TVA owned vacant house to gain access to the grave sites. More info as it is passed on to us.

I went to the cemetery

I went to the cemetery yesterday and it appears that anything that could be sold as scrap metal or resold was taken. I have both sets of my Grand Parents in the cemetery. There were a lot of metal "shepherds hooks" taken the sturdy metal rods with hooks to hold hanging baskets. And all of the illuminated crosses. It is real sad and low down that someone would steal from a cemetery. At one time the cemetery was surrounded by homes and families but since the ash spill 5 of the residents that surrounded the cemetery are now gone and only vacant homes remain.

this was just plain low down.

It takes a real low life to rob a cemetary. Is there any way to allert the iron and metal companies to be on the lookout for this type material? If they tried to sell it around here, maybe it could be found out.
I have one more statement and a question. Residents have been pulled over by TVA polce for going too slow; pedestrians have been ran off for taking pictures from a county road. Where was the TVA police that are supposed to be watching the vacant homes, and the surrounding areas?
