Perhaps it is because we have become so cut off from the natural world, that we have skewered the lexicon to confuse biological with industrial.

People on this site constantly refer to "coal fired plants," which as a long time farmer, I have never seen or cultivated such an organism.
When I type in Plants on the Google page, what comes up are references for living, biological plants. Wikipedia refers to plants as living organisms belonging to the kingdom Plantae. They include familiar organisms such as trees, herbs, bushes, grasses, vines, ferns, moss, etc.

How about Kingston being a "Coal fired generating facility?"

And what's with "Industrial Park?" Nothing park-like about a cluster of factories, each with a massive asphalt parking lot, loading area, and access roads. At the Roane County Industrial "Park" (sic), there is a massive junkyard, definitely not a place for a family picnic.

There, just had to get that off my chest.
Thank you. Now it is back to working with solar-powered, rain-fed plants as I cultivate the sweet corn patch. (the one I am growing without Atrazine and Mesotrione)

Point accepted. But'll still get lazy.

So we'll just make another acronym

We already routinely use LE, LEO, PH, LOL (which for the longest time I thought meant Lots of Luck), so why not add CFGF (Coal-Fired Generating Facility)? Kingston CFGF That way you can retain your environmental credentials in good standing, and still be lazy with your posts. Sounds like the old win/win to me.

TVA just calls it Kingston Fossil KIF

Why not call them Fossils, they are dinosaurs anyway...
KIF something more obscene that a kiss

Well I just saw a request for

a landscaper under your post on TVA's "coal-fired plants." Like me, she must have been confused by your use of the word plant. :>)
