Kingston is blessed with the three of the best School Board Members in Roane County. It is of interest to me that the three best ones are the ones with opposition in the coming election. Why do you think that is?

I guess there are private vendettas or something in play this year but frankly, I've looked at the new candidates and, while some of them might be worthy, they would never be able to perform to the level of Earl Nall, Tyler Overstreet, and Danny Holloway. So what's up with all the Kingston opposition? Anybody want to fill us in?

Along these lines, Earl Nall has a new web site up. A smart voter would check it out.

Who are the other candidates?

Anyone know? Do they have websites? :)

Here is the Roane County Election Commission site

They are supposed to list all the candidates:

Thanks

Now I just need to find their websites and contact info. :)

Good luck with that, OneT.

Good luck with that, OneT. I'm not sure how many of them are that savy. Perhaps they would post here at RoaneViews and give out that info?

Thanks WC

Thank you WhitesCreek for your kind words.

Mr. Nall's website is great. Who could ask for more? Wow!

I don't think I'll post a website this election. Please call me at 368-9879 if you have questions or comments. I'd like to have your vote and support on August 7 and will be happy to discuss our schools just about anytime.

I know the Kingston BOE members have worked hard for our schools this past term. You would be surprised how much time and effort go into being a productive BOE member. Each of us has our heart in what we do for the schools, students, parents, teachers and community.

Thank you WC

I have been honored to serve with Tyler and Earl for the past 1 1/2 year as a school board member for district 5/6 since the passing of a true champion of our schools Mr. David High. I ran four years ago because I truely believed our school system could be better than it was. Is our school system as good as it can be? If it was yesterday, it likely will not be today, tomorrow, next week or next year. I hope we never think that we cannot be better than we are. Changes in education are as common place as changes in our lives. As board members we must not only understand this, but more importantly we must recognize plan and prepare for constant change. I do appreciate your words of confidence and I pledge to continue to work hard to make our school system better. Danny
