Folks, the Land Owners Association of Ladd Landing Inc is allowing us the use of their facilities. Make sure you read and understand the Big Legal Note down below and make sure everyone who comes with you understands. We are all guests of LOALLI and we really appreciate . Be nice and be safe.

We're going to break in a new scene at the Ladd Landing Clubhouse with some of the best music to ever hit this town. Jason Eskridge and his band play for us at the Ladd Landing clubhouse on Friday May 31. And get this... He's bringing Mike Willis with him.

Here's Mr. Eskridge busting some vocal chops with Jonny Lang...

I've been trying to find a date for Mike to play for us and things haven't worked out. Jason fixed that problem by offering to bring Mike along. So get ready to hear some of the best singers anywhere right here at home. Jason brings the best musicians with him in his band. I'll tell you more as we get closer, but for right now I want to introduce Mike Willis. This is a live set recorded as he performed it, just to show you how good Mike Willis is.

Here's some more Jason Eskridge from his set at the WDVX Blue Plate Special.

ABOUT OUR MUSIC SERIES

Music at Market Street combines our serious affection for singer songwriters, live performance of original music, and socializing with our friends and families. We started it up in the Spring of 2012 on a whim. The idea was to have a family friendly atmosphere where we could chat and visit, share food and adult beverages if we so choose, and listen to some of the best music in Tennessee. So far it's working. We meet new people every week and folks are now driving out from Knoxville and other far flung places to experience their favorite artists in a small room with great acoustics. The only complaint we ever hear is "Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?"

The people who play for us are very good. They write and record songs and are excellent musicians. We tend to be heavy on Americana genre but we recently had R&B virtuoso Jason Eskridge, so good music is good music. Most of our artists are suggested by the artists who have played at Market Street, on the theory that musicians know music. So far everyone has been better than good. We also pester artists we like after hearing them on stage at one venue or another and we try to get people you would have to go to the Bijou, Jammin' at Hippie Jack's music festival, or someplace like that to hear. They bring their CD's and other stuff for purchase. We pay artists all we can and, after expenses, donate any extra to charities we like. We take no money ourselves.

BIG NOTE: The Ladd Landing Homeowners Association, along with everyone connected with our show, requires that, in return for allowing us the use of their facilities, everyone who attends the show assumes all risk and responsibility for themselves and any minors they bring and agrees to conduct themselves in a safe manner. There are the normal hazards of life and not quite complete construction and a gravel walkway. (Appropriate shoes are highly recommended.) Lighting and other things may not be complete by the time of the show. By attending you acknowledge that you agree to all this and hold us harmless.

Directions:

The official address is 1000 Ladd Landing Boulevard, Kingston, TN, but that will just get you into Ladd Landing.

Take Exit 352 then left and go one half mile north (left off I 40 away from Kingston proper). Turn right onto Ladd Landing Boulevard at the 3 way stop. Follow Ladd Landing Boulevard past the shopping center and take the first right turn just before the Greenway bridge. The clubhouse will be a couple of hundred yards on your left. Parking is along the road and a short walk up the hill will get you there. We will be upstairs.

Note from Sam Lewis

I hope all of you plan on making it out to this show. Jason and Mike are some rare gems that will indeed shine bright on the 31st. Jason just opened for the Neville Brothers at the War Memorial last month. It was Epic! Don't miss this show!!!
