At the Tea Party Forum in Kingston last night, Representative Julia Hurley sort of denied that she was involved in any "ghost" voting and then later admitted it and said it was nothing really.
The mind boggles!

From Hurley's Facebook page - claiming to be 'smart enough'
Though she doesn't pay much attention to fb, particularly when Roane County was asking her to keep Roane County as one, the State Rep has a routine pattern of posting to her fb daily. She is tuned into fb and her latest entry regarding the ghost voting in response to a constituent who was pushing her for a response (on fb):
"TN State Representative Julia C Hurley Also note... we do not take breaks. And women have only two stalls.... that we share with all visitors, employees, and Lobbyists. Sometimes I miss votes. I am smart enough to let my seatmate know. We also have earbuds so we can hear all debate at all times, and I have texted my seatmate from the ladies room waiting line for a few votes. I wont lie to you, but it truly isn't a huge deal."
Yes it is a big deal. How
Yes it is a big deal. How does her seatmate know it is really Hurley and not someone who has her phone? This is a huge issue, particularly in light of the suppressive ID restrictions Hurley supported that we face when we go to cast our vote.
if Hurley wants a good cause
How about passing a law to force toilet equity? She should remember too that true equity requires twice as many stalls for women as for men because women take longer.

She was sent there to do a job. Hey, even students have to have permission to leave a classroom to go to the bathroom. So, she is basically telling us that going to the bathroom is more important than staying on the floor and voting? Has she ever taken her child to a movie when the child was small? I'll bet if she did, she told that child to go to the bathroom before the movie started. Allowing someone to cast her vote, or her casting someone's vote in their absence is just wrong!!
