The country is literally bankrupt, but the White House Staff, The Federal Reserve, and Congress keep acting like we are still an industrial and financial power. The sun is setting on the American empire, and the GOP are out hawking sunglasses, claiming the coming darkness will be bright.

All you morons who are cheering a cut in the social security tax rate should understand that this is the not so stealth attack to destroy the social security trust fund by underfunding it. You don't have to be very tricky or subtle when dealing with the brain dead.
