Voting to Remain at Courthouse Regardless Of IllegalitySubmitted by WhitesCreek on September 26, 2012 - 6:22am.
It appears that not much thinking goes on to solve problems. Having been told that it is illegal on several fronts for voting to occur at the Roane County Courthouse, the Roane Election Commissioner says it will have to stay there because they can't get a space in the Kingston Community center...Like there's no empty buildings in Kingston? Like say the new Kingston Municipal building or something? Can we do our job here?

They could also ask:
1. The NAACP to use the old school building in Greenwood. It has a good size meeting room.
2. One of the large Churches in Kingston.
3. Rent a space on Kentucky.
4. SWP Fort.
5. Rent a portable building or tent to be placed in the Old Courthouse's courtyard.
One would think compliant elections would be the number one priority. With them going into the election knowing it's non-compliant is a travesty to justice.
