Watch For Flooded RoadsSubmitted by WhitesCreek on September 18, 2012 - 6:03am.
Roane County is not shown on the flood warning map but we had over 5 inches on the Rhea and Roane County line. I say "over" because the gauge was full to the top. The creek is roaring. Rain will end this morning except for spot showers. Update: Water is over Black Creek Road and just tops the bridge. This is not unusual since the bridge was built several feet too low when the old culverts were replaced. Water tops the bridge several times a year and the thirty or so families who live in the valley are used to it. Don't like it but we're used to it.

The other gauge is full at 7 inches. That's a lot of rain.
