Congrats to NASA on the Mars Lander Operation

Submitted by WhitesCreek on August 6, 2012 - 7:29am.

The "seven minutes of terror" were when the Mars lander. Curiosity, was descending through the Martian atmosphere and could not communicate its condition to NASA. Curiosity sailed through the atmosphere and landed intact and operational, and is sending back the first pictures of its mission to find life on the surface of Mars.

New Data

Whenever we get new data from the lander, we can say, "just out of Curiosity."

I've always loved Marvin...

.. and I'm glad he is still aroud to greet us when we finally get to his homeland.

I hope he doesn't blast us with his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator!

This is wonderful news!

My Hanai sister in Honolulu and I had a little party via Google Voice when news came through before 2 AM EDT of the landing's amazing success.
