From a Second Harvest email just now:

Tomorrow, we need some hard working volunteers to help sort and bag about 40,000 pounds of sweet potatoes!

The more hands we have, the faster it will go. We will be meeting at Sycamore Tree UMC at 1830 Clydesdale St. in Maryville. A Scout troop they support is co-sponsoring this sweet potato delivery.

We will be working from 8am-noon. Even a one-hour time commitment will be very helpful. Sorry this is last minute but the deal was only just finalized.

No need to RSVP, just show up at the church willing to work. Bring gloves, water and sunscreen.
