Hurley Continues to Send Mailers to People In 31st DistrictSubmitted by WhitesCreek on July 19, 2012 - 8:00am.
The Hurley era will end on August 2 but it is still painful to get these mailers from her after she gerrymandered Roane County into pieces. She claims credit for the welfare drug testing bill which cost Florida millions to find out that very few assistance receivers use drugs, lower than the rate of the general population in fact. She claims credit for eliminating the death tax, which will save the very rich millons of dollars but not so much the rest of us. She claims credit for reducing sales tax on food from 5.5 to 5.3 while not stating that she voted against the Democratic plan which would have reduded the tax two and a half more times than the one she supported. She claims 100% pro gun and 100% pro life, which is an oxymoron to start with. Hurley supported the guns in parking lots bill which would have taken away the property rights of business owners. As a business owner I can tell you that bill will get people killed. Like I said, the Hurley era will end in two weeks but it will be painful to watch until then.

We received our first mailers from Hurley, and, I guarantee no one from this household has ever voted for her (I know, it is a republican generated piece). Just thought it was funny that $$$ was wasted on us.
