Roane Countians are 2.6 times as likely to be in bad health as the rest of the nation. We have over twice the level of avoidable hospital stays, teen births, the liklihood of car crash death, children living in poverty, and sexually transmitted disease. We have half the access to primary care physicians and over one third of us are obese. The good news is that we are about dead center average for our state and no matter what anybody says, Grundy County is the worst, not us.
