WoW Classic TVA

"We need them for operational boundaries. We don't want people moving back to those neighborhoods," Kilgore said.

Myself and many in the community and County Government have been told a lot different than what Mr. Kilgore has stated below! Mr. Kilgore come down out of your Ivory Tower in Knoxville and talk to the Swan Pond Community! And let them know what they are to expect and what is going to happen to their community!

TVA owns 152 homes affected by the spill. Kilgore says many of those homes and the land will remain the property of the utility.

For the homes that will be rebuilt, "If the original owner wanted to buy the property back, should we offer it for sale and only if we should offer it for sale, they would be given the first right of refusal," Kilgore said.

Although most people living near the ash spill settled quietly with TVA, about 33 others refused. Many are taking their fight to court.

The homeowners who settled with TVA signed away their rights to sue for any health effects linked to the ash spill.

Spreading the ash around

"Furniture, some of it full of ash dust, has been removed by TVA from the empty homes and donated to Goodwill." Link...

So just give the ash away to the poor, uh? This is borderline criminal AND insane! Polluters will never cease to amaze me.
