TVA Sticking to "Can't be sued" Mantra

So Environmental groups want TVA prosecuted...

Barbara Martocci, TVA: "TVA, like all federal agencies, and consistent with the Department of Justice's position on the issue, is not subject to civil penalties in suits brought by citizen groups under some federal environmental statutes."

Eric Shafer, Environmental Integrity Project: "...the IG report suggests that the misconduct was either intentional or what we would call pretty bad negligence."

If TVA is a federal agency there are going to be some huge pay cuts. I believe the top federal pay scale for a top level federal agency executive is about $190K.

Looks like we are in for some refunds from the top guys who have been paid millions in the past.

TVA pushes the gov agency angle when it benefits them. At other times they tout their independence and self financing.
