Tebow's Bible Quote

Fl quarterback Tim Tebow bawling at the end of the SEC Championship game wearing John 16:33 on his eye back as Alabama kills Florida in the SEC Championship game...

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Alabama now steps into the National Championship game against...???

It's refreshing to see a

It's refreshing to see a picture of a football player with a Bible verse across his face rather than the usual "booking number"

I agree with you, Harrimanite...

but I've seen several posts commenting about Tebow using the "F" Bomb after throwing the interception in the end zone. I missed it but many are asking if "that was the Christian thing to say." Did anyone here see this? Tebow is a great college player. Even a better person from everyone who knows him. I know he wanted to go out with another National Championship but he's got nothing to be ashamed of.

Maybe the word was

Maybe the word was "fiddlesticks" and the people lip read wrong!

I could forgive a slip of the tongue in a heated moment much easier than some of the deliberate trashy talk by others.

My only problem

is with folks who think they have some kind of inside track with the deity, that God wants their team to win more than that "other" team. If they really believe that, I wish they would keep it to themselves. Too many of these folks are growing up and becoming politicians. ;-)
As a Seminoles + Hurricanes = anyone but Florida fan, I am happy to see the Gators go down at the hands of 'Bama.

I never got that kind of

I never got that kind of message from Tebow listening to any of his interviews. He's always seemed full of humility and respect for everyone.

I didn't interpret the verse to be condescending. I think he meant it as... whatever will be, will be, and it should be accepted.

I wouldn't hesitate to guess that whatever verse was written on Tebow's face each week was the only Scripture some of the players and fans read!

On the "Gator hater" note: You can't help the fans, but at least Spurrier is no longer there too!!!

Is there some hidden meainng

Is there some hidden meainng to the reference of "Fl quarterback Jeff Tebow" versus Tim Tebow, the Florida quarterback?

Hey, I breezed right over

Hey, I breezed right over that error by White's Creek! Good eyes Biz

Corrected

Could be one of those fraudulent slips, but nothing intended on purpose. Perhaps a football O. D.?
