TVA Ash Spill Shoreline Clean Up Crews

I recently looked behind one of TVA contracted shoreline clean up crews and discovered that they were bagging lots of leaves but leaving litter, glass bottles...anything that had to be picked up...not raked up. I took digital pictures and complained. TVA sent two agents to see me and they assured me that all crews will be talked to to assure that all shoreline litter will be picked up in any area of shoreline they are working on.

If you see any litter on a shoreline just cleaned by a TVA contractor please take a picture and email the picture with a time and place . Email to Keep Roane Beautiful (yes we are still alive) at Bob@sailawayrealty.com Thanks

Dont complain

go help pick up some trash Bob. You will feel better about yourself.

Thanks, Bob.

Bob has done a great job organizing the Thief Neck Island cleanup recently and several lakeside cleanups in the past. He's a main driver in stablizing Keep Roane Beautiful, a good organization that Roane County really needs healthy anf functioning.

They are doing some of the vacuuming

and other clean up. I can probably get some more details.

They were out in the boat

They were out in the boat today when I was taking pictures... they came back to shore once I left and started throwing clear plastic garbage bags onto the shore... just like the ones that I found the dead fish in....

I was on Swan Pond Rd today

I saw a few dead squirrels and one dog that was on the side of the road wonder what happened them?

The squirrels and dog?

Probably couldn't get out of the way of the speeding dump trucks. Oh, I forgot.....those are employed by TVA now too...someting to do with an ash disaster I think?

Yeah ok Rick I dont see a disaster at all

I was out there looking around again today and man does the area look better than before. No chance of the first SP circle flooding anymore since the backwaters are now gone thats a new plus for the area. I also love the new roads they are soooo smooth to drive on. Now I know you like to point out the bad thats was done by the ash spill but Rick ol buddy you gonna have to accept it happened and there is nothing we can do about it. It not like we can rewind or do a do over its time to move on and look forward to the new swan pond. Looking good TVA keep it up... dump truck drivers watch them dogs people.
