Free To Good Home...2 year old b/w Border Collie. He needs a lot of space to run. Will not do well with other pets. He loves to play ball, frisbee, and fetch. Knows simple comands (sit, come, [learning stay], house/kennel). Please email me with any questions you might have: kafitzsimons@comcast.net Submitted by Kevin A. First I want to say thank you to all of you who helped with my safety issue. As a secondary bonus, thanks to you all the illegal dumping before Cherry Street has been cleaned up. Too often the help and concern of others goes unnoticed and without recognition. I wish to change that even if it is in a small way. So thank you Harriman and you bloggers out there; I for one appreciate all your help and assistance. I'm a new-comer and somewhat of a loner but the kindness of others still moves me to regard humanity with hope and appreciation. Thanks again.... ( categories: )

I was just wondering if there are alot of Irish in Tennessee, of Irish heritage I mean? My parents and family hail from there: my father from Westmeath; my mother, from Derry. They used to say that the Irish were like snuff at a wake, scattered all over the place. ( categories: )

Just wondering, but did anyone notice a white streak in the sky last night (Feb 8) around 10:00PM? I was taking my dogs out and I just so happened to be gazing up at the full moon when I noticed the streak just appear there in the sky. It resembled a vapor trail like those left behind jets but it appeared so quickly and low that I doubt that would explain it. At around the same time I heard sirens but I'm not sure if there was any connection. Did anyone else see it? ( categories: )

I have lived in Harriman for about three years now and have had the same problem which continues to remain unaddressed despite contacting Harriman's Mayor, Roane County, and Tennessee's state Senators. The entrance to my street empties onto a road that has a blind bend at one end. Every time we have to leave our home we take our life into our hands because of this blind spot; to make matters worse the speed limit of 25 MPH (15 when school is present) is virtually ignored. My wife and I have already had several close calls but I'm afraid that our luck cannot hold out forever. Does anyone have any suggestions? ( categories: )
